Andy is a Human Resources executive with a reputation for delivering results by facilitating the exploration of two questions: What is our plan for high-performance? and How do we link it to organizational activities that encourage teams to do extraordinary things?
Andy believes that it takes creative collaboration and open conversation for leaders and teams to collectively reveal the opportunities in their environment. Andy helps them do that with vigor and passion. An expert on building brand differentiation, customer experience and performance-driven cultures, Andy has worked in operations, marketing and human resource functions in companies such as Saks Fifth Avenue, Guess Inc., and Brooks Brothers. At Ralph Lauren, he was SVP of Human Resources for Global Retail. Andy has experience in talent development, process and resource optimization, and business strategy. He has been an advisor to Silicon Valley start-ups on branding, product positioning and talent strategies. He is driven to seek opportunities where he might “energize the moment of truth,” when the customer comes face-to-face with the brand and makes a decision.
Born in Guyana, South America, Andy studied and made his home in the United States, earning a BA in Psychology from St. Francis College, and a Masters in Organizational Development from the Graziodio School of Business at Pepperdine University. He has been trained by Organization Dynamics and is also certified in Total Quality process and team initiatives.
Andy studied voice at the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore and sang and recorded with the choruses of the Riverside Church and the Oratorio Society of New York. He restores homes in his spare time and practices vipassana meditation.
